Armed Forces Foundation Scheme (Gap Year)

Positions Available & Career Paths
We categorize our roles into two distinct paths: Soldiers (our technical and trade specialists) and Officers (our strategic leaders).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Soldier Roles: Many trades require no formal qualifications; we provide all the training you need.
- Officer Roles: Generally require 72 UCAS points (degree is welcomed but not mandatory).
- Age Limit: 16 to 35 years old (Age limits can be extended for qualified Doctors, Nurses, or Engineers).
- Nationality: British or Irish citizenship (Selected roles open to Commonwealth citizens).
Fitness Standards
You must be ready to pass our physical assessment, which includes:
- The Bleep Test: Shuttle run to test cardiovascular endurance.
- Medicine Ball Throw: Measuring upper body explosive power.
- Mid-Thigh Pull: Strength test for lower body power.
