We are currently recruiting for both Aviator (Trade) and Officer (Leadership) paths. These roles are not just jobs; they are specialized careers that provide you with civilian-recognized qualifications and the chance to work with some of the most advanced technology on the planet.

Positions & Roles Available

1. Cyberspace Specialist
As a specialist, you’ll join the Level 3 Information Communications Technician scheme. Training involves 10 weeks of basic skills at RAF Halton, followed by specialist training at RAF Cosford covering Cisco networking (CCNA), Satellite Comms, and Cyber Threat Mitigation. The “Fast-Track” Edge: If you already have tech experience, our 2026 Direct Entry scheme starts at over £40,000.

2. Aircraft Technician (Mechanical or Avionics)
Keep our fleet in the sky. You will choose between Mechanical specialisms (engines and airframes) or Avionics (radar and flight controls). You’ll graduate with a Level 3 Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, highly valued by giants like Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems.

3. RAF Regiment Gunner
The frontline of RAF protection. In 2026, Gunners are becoming specialists in Counter-UAS (Drone) technology and digital battlefield surveillance.

4. Pilot (Officer) – High Investment Role
The ultimate leadership role with a 12-year commitment due to the £4m training investment. You will undergo the rigorous CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test) at RAF Cranwell to prove your cognitive and psychomotor skills.

5. Intelligence Officer
The brains behind the mission. You will spend 24 weeks at RAF College Cranwell mastering leadership before diving into IMINT (Satellite imagery) and SIGINT (Signals intelligence) at the Joint Intelligence Training Group.

Physical Standards (Regiment Gunners)

To pass the RAST 2026 assessment, you must meet these benchmarks:

  • 2km Run: Under 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
  • Medicine Ball (4kg): 3.1m seated throw.
  • Deadlift: Minimum 95kg.

Age Limit

  • Aviator Roles (Tech/Gunner): 16 – 47 years old.
  • Pilot: 17.5 – 23 years old.
  • Intelligence Officer: 18 – 54 years old.
