Job Description
The 2026 apprenticeship strategy serves as a primary pillar in the transition toward a “Parcel-First” logistics model. These programs offer professional stability, industry-recognized qualifications, and a direct career path within a modernizing infrastructure. Participants engage in high-level training designed to support the UK’s largest delivery network through leadership and technical expertise.
Positions Available
1. Operations Degree Apprenticeship (September 2026 Intake)
A leadership fast-track program designed to develop future managers for major sorting hubs and delivery districts.
The Rotation Strategy: A three-year cycle through Local Delivery Offices, automated Parcel Super Hubs (Warrington or Daventry), and Commercial Head Office.
The Outcome: Graduation with a Chartered Manager Degree (BA or BSc) and eligibility for promotion into Frontline Manager roles.
2. Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3)
A technical program focused on the maintenance of over 49,000 vehicles, specifically HGVs, trailers, and the expanding electric truck fleet.
Training Structure: A three-year program blending local workshop experience with residential blocks at the Remit Training Academy (travel and accommodation covered).
Compensation: Initial salary of £17,000–£18,000 with guaranteed annual increases.
3. Plant Maintenance (Automation Engineering)
A specialized trade focused on the 24/7 operation of automated Parcel Sortation Machines (PSMs).
Technical Skills: Training covers Robotics, Pneumatics, Machine Intelligence, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Location: Primarily based at national Super Hubs, with the North West Super Hub serving as a central training location for 2026.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Operations Degree: 3 A-Levels (Grade B+) and 5 GCSEs (Grade 4/C+ including English/Maths). A full UK License is essential for travel.
- Technical Apprentices: Demonstrated interest in mechanics or robotics. Ability to work in fast-paced industrial environments.
- Equipment: A full starter toolkit and all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are provided.
Age Limit
- Standard Requirement: Minimum 16 years old by September 2026 start.
- Degree & Driving Roles: Must be 18 years or older to comply with driving laws and health & safety regulations.
